Minnesota has become the home to many Somali, Hmong, Oromo and other refugee populations since 1979. The United Nations established June 20 as World Refugee Day. Organizations all across the state worked together to put on a day-long event filled with cultural performances, great food and an immigrant resource fair. I have worked with the planning committee to make posters, graphics for handbills and a T-shirt for volunteers and event-goers for the past three years.

I also designed their website to be flexible enough to change with each event's theme. This year, the event was paired with another cultural event, Minneapolis MOSAIC.
